Will my jewelry turn? 
95% of the time, the answer is no. We have a small collection of pieces, sometimes an inexpensive alternative to another higher-quality piece in our line, that WILL eventually turn. However, we do have care instructions for these pieces to ensure they stay beautiful for as long as possible! We have also made sure to identify these items on their product pages so that you are aware of the quality before purchasing. 

Is it hypoallergenic? 
Yes! No need to worry about having any bad reactions. All of our jewelry is free of lead, nickel, cadmium, and other irritating components. 

What is it made of?
Our chains are made using a high-quality brass or steel base and are all free of lead, nickel, cadmium, and other irritating components. 
The majority of our gold chains are 24kt gold overlay; they go through an advanced acid gold electro-depositing process which enables it to be worn all the time. It is the finest alternative to solid 14kt jewelry. The remainder of our gold chains are electroplated gold. The electroplating uses precious metals and is plated for a longer duration of time, resulting in a thicker coating. It is then electrocoated in clear acrylic sealant, guaranteeing that the color will not tarnish or wear off.

Our silver chains are made with a Rhodium overlay, which is in the Platinum family and is the most expensive and one of the hardest of the precious metals. Some have an antique finishing or are oxidized. The rest of the silver chains are made of Stainless Steel.  

We do have a small collection of pieces made with materials that will eventually turn, however we have made sure to identify these items on their product pages so that you are aware of the quality and proper care before purchasing.

 

How do I take proper care of my Shalla Wista jewels?
To preserve the life of your jewelry, we suggest that you minimize exposure to water and that you store your jewelry in a sealed container. Although, as stated above, most of our jewelry is high quality and should not turn, it is always good to protect your pieces from moisture, humidity, and dust. To keep your pieces in the best condition, clean them on a regular basis with a polishing cloth, or we offer, in our opinion, the best jewelry cleaner on the market which is available for purchase on our website. 

At Shalla Wista, we stand behind our jewelry. We will repair any faults in jewelry for up to one year after purchase by retailer. However, we are not responsible for jewelry repair resulting from trauma or exposure to the elements. In that event, repair fees will range from $10-$50 depending on the extent of damage.

 

What is your return // exchange policy?
As all of our jewelry is handmade, with a lot of it being made to order, Shalla Wista does not accept any returns or exchanges and asks that you contact us with any questions you may have concerning your order before making your purchase. 

How long will it take to receive my order?
We work hard to get your new jewels to you as quickly as possible. Sometimes that may take up to 12 business days. If you have any concerns regarding this timeframe, please contact us before placing your order.
